"A Thrilling Adventure with the Elusive Legend!"
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5)
Reviewer: Alex M., Portland, OR
"I’ll admit, I went into this Bigfoot hunt as a total skeptic—but I came out a believer! From the moment we arrived, the guides were top-notch: knowledgeable, professional, and fully prepared for anything the forest could throw at us. They shared incredible stories and taught us how to identify tracks, set up trail cams, and even showed us how to make plaster casts.
The first night hike was genuinely eerie. As we crept through the dark with our night vision gear, we heard strange, echoing calls in the distance and found a few enormous footprints near the stream. I have no idea what made them, but they didn’t look like bear prints!
On the second night, our guide led us to a remote ridge where we saw…something moving at the tree line. It was huge, shadowy, and moved with this uncanny swiftness. We couldn’t get a clear shot with our cameras, but everyone in our group saw it and felt that shiver of excitement (or fear!) run through us.
The camp setup was comfortable, the food was hearty, and I learned a ton about survival in the wilderness. But the true highlight was feeling like we were in the presence of something…otherworldly. If you’re even a little curious about Bigfoot, this hunt is the adventure of a lifetime!"

Rules & Guidelines
When planning a Bigfoot hunt in the Siskiyou National Forest, attendees should be aware of the following important rules and regulations:
1. Permits and Entry Requirements
- Forest Use Permits: Check if the Forest Service requires any permits for overnight stays, off-trail activities, or large group events.
- Camping Permits: Permits are often required for designated campsites, so ensure all necessary camping permits are obtained.
- Fire Permits: During certain seasons, fire permits are mandatory for campfires, portable stoves, or any open flame.
2. Wildlife and Habitat Protection
- Leave No Trace Principles: Avoid disturbing plants, rocks, or wildlife habitats. Be cautious not to damage any natural features or disturb local wildlife.
- No Harassment of Wildlife: Interaction with wildlife, including baiting or intentionally attracting animals, is prohibited.
- Restricted Areas: Certain areas may be off-limits to protect endangered species or sensitive ecosystems. Respect all signage and guidelines.
3. Safety and Conduct in the Wilderness
- Hiking in Designated Areas: Stick to established trails unless guided off-trail by a professional. Straying from marked paths can damage the forest and increase personal risk.
- Quiet Hours and Noise Control: Loud noises, especially during night hours, should be minimized to respect other visitors and wildlife.
- Bear and Wildlife Precautions: Carry bear spray if necessary and store all food securely to prevent attracting animals.
4. Prohibited Equipment and Activities
- No Firearms or Explosives: Firearms, explosives, or any harmful substances are prohibited unless specially permitted.
- Drones and Motorized Vehicles: Check restrictions on drones, which are often banned due to their impact on wildlife and other visitors. Motorized vehicles are not permitted off-road in most areas.
5. Health and Safety Regulations
- Waste Disposal: All waste must be packed out, including food scraps, trash, and human waste where required. Facilities may be limited, so bring biodegradable bags if needed.
- Campfire Restrictions: Follow any fire restrictions or bans to prevent wildfires, especially during dry seasons.
- Weather Preparedness: Be aware of weather conditions, which can change rapidly in the forest, and prepare accordingly.
6. Documentation and Evidence Collection
- Respect Privacy and Land Use: Certain areas may be private or restricted, so know boundaries before exploring. If recording, get permission if there are other campers or visitors in proximity.
- Footprint and Evidence Protocols: Collecting plaster casts or evidence of Bigfoot must be done without causing damage to natural or archeological features. Avoid digging, cutting, or otherwise altering the landscape.
These rules ensure the safety, enjoyment, and preservation of Siskiyou National Forest for everyone, including the next wave of Bigfoot seekers!
